We’re looking to hire a talented and driven Tool Jig and Die Maker.

Here are some of the tasks that this role will entail:

• Work closely with Product engineer to design products, tools, jigs and production infrastructure
• Manufacture prototypes for new product designs
• Advise on best practices, materials and processes for designing of products, tools and jigs
• Machining of parts in various materials using conventional lathe, milling machine, etc.
• Work with various materials, steel, brass, copper, plastic, glass, wood, etc.
• Testing products, tools and jigs.
• Manufacturing of small run components
• Making adjustments to existing components
• Assisting the production team with manufacturing and assembly where needed.
• Operate CNC equipment.
• Operate 3D printing equipment.
• Operate Laser cutter/engraver
• Surface finishing of products
• Tool hardening where necessary
• Welding from time to time
• Prepping material for production team
• Maintaining workshop machinery and tools
• Keeping an inventory of workshop equipment and tools
• Keeping workshop clean, tidy and organised
• Training production team
• Design production jigs for product manufacturing
• Identifying tooling/equipment needs and sourcing those tools
• Prototyping new products
• 3D printing prototype components
• Compile and oversee QC (Quality Control) criteria
• Advise and oversee general problem solving in workshop/showroom spaces
